On June 1, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Nong province sent a report to the Provincial People's Committee regarding the case of Ms. Vu Thi Kim Q., a teacher at Le Duan High School (Dak G'long), who was assaulted by her parents at her home.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Dak Nong province, Ms. Vu Thi Kim Q. is currently a Literature teacher at Le Duan High School. The person who assaulted Ms. Q. is Mr. Le Mau D., a teacher at Hoang Van Thu Secondary School, under the management of the Department of Education and Training of Dak G'long district. The cause of the incident may have stemmed from the fact that Mr. D.'s son, LMQ (a student at the school), was classified as having average conduct throughout the school year.

Specifically, on April 10, during the 4th period of Literature, class 12C1, LMQ entered the class 15 minutes late, so the teacher reminded him about being late. However, he argued, had an uncooperative attitude, and was not up to standard.
Immediately after that, Ms. Q. asked the male student to go to the Youth Union Office of the school so that the homeroom teacher could handle it. However, the male student LMQ resisted, standing in front of the classroom door with words and actions that challenged the teacher. After that class, Ms. Q. commented on the student's actions in the class book.
On April 12, the Youth Union invited LMQ’s parents to discuss the violation. On April 15, the homeroom teacher held a meeting to consider disciplining the student in class in the form of “lowering one level of conduct” in the 2022-2023 school year.
On May 20, Le Duan High School held a meeting to evaluate the conduct of 12th grade students. LMQ was ranked as having average conduct with 11/14 votes. On the same day, LMQ's parents submitted a petition regarding this evaluation and classification.
On May 22, 2023, Le Duan High School continued to hold a meeting to review the school year's conduct for LMQ. At the meeting, 16/19 members agreed to classify this student's conduct as average. Based on the minutes of the meeting and evaluation and comments, student LMQ's conduct for the entire school year was ranked as average.
Dissatisfied with the fact that their child was classified as having average conduct, LMQ's parents repeatedly called to insult teacher Q. Then, Mr. D. assaulted teacher Q. on the evening of May 25.
As reported by VTC News, at around 6:30 p.m. on May 25, Ms. Q. and her two children were at their home in Village 2 (Quang Son Commune) when Mr. Le Mau D. broke into her house, cursed at her, and beat her. Upon discovering the incident, neighbors and relatives nearby ran to intervene. Mr. D. fled the scene.
Ms. Q. was beaten and suffered a nosebleed, so she was taken to a medical facility for treatment and the incident was reported to the authorities. Ms. Q.'s family then reported the incident to the school principal and the Executive Committee of the Le Duan High School Union to take measures to protect the teacher.
