German 'tank' continues to be undefeated

Germany had already secured a place in the quarter-finals since the October training camp, but needed to beat Bosnia & Herzegovina to secure top spot in the group, in order to avoid the possibility of meeting other group leaders in the quarter-finals, including Portugal and Spain. Therefore, against an opponent 63 places below and with home advantage, Germany created a one-sided game when controlling the ball up to 73%, shooting 23 times with 13 shots on target - compared to 7 and 3 for Bosnia & Herzegovina. Of the 13 shots on target, Germany scored 7 goals. This victory helped "The Tank" own the biggest score in this year's UEFA Nations League, surpassing the old record of 5-0 set by themselves against Hungary.

Coach Nagelsmann and his team won a place in the quarter-finals by finishing first in Group 3 of League A with 13 points. In the final match, the German team will travel to Hungary on November 20.

Also in this group, the Netherlands team won quite easily against Hungary (4-0) to rise to 2nd place with 8 points. With 3 points more than Hungary and a superior goal difference (+6 compared to -7), coach Ronald Koeman and his team also won tickets to the quarterfinals. Notably, the match at the Amsterdam Arena (Netherlands) had to be stopped for nearly 10 minutes after Hungary's assistant coach Adam Szalai had health problems.

Seven teams have now advanced from the group stage, including Spain, Portugal, Germany (top); Netherlands, Croatia (second); France, Italy (positions yet to be determined). On November 22, UEFA will draw lots for the quarter-final matches.
