Excellently defeating Huynh Thi Ngoc Huyen in the final match this afternoon, 22-year-old player Duong Yen Vi was crowned champion of Tour 2, Women's 9-ball Pool event of HBSF Billiards - Min Table Cup 2024 to get a chance to show off her skills with her male colleagues.

After the 3-Cushion Carom event ended, Tour 2 of the 2024 HBSF Billiards tournament continued to compete in the 9-ball Pool event with the participation of all the top male and female players in the country.

The content of the 9-ball Pool for women has 32 players participating, including familiar faces such as former national champion Huynh Thi Ngoc Huyen, Nguyen Thi Bich Tram... or the famous hot girl with nearly 10 million followers on tiktok, often known for her humorous videos about billiards Ma Thi Hong Gam (nickname Gam Kami).

After passing the qualifying round, round of 16 and quarter-finals, young player Duong Yen Vi entered the semi-finals to meet veteran player Nguyen Bich Tram. Player Nguyen Bich Tram is the champion of Tour 1.

After winning 3 consecutive games to lead 3/2, Duong Yen Vi ended the match with a score of 7-4 to enter the final to meet Huynh Thi Ngoc Huyen. Because in the remaining semi-final, Ngoc Huyen defeated Vo Thuy Uyen Phuong 7/3.

The final match between Duong Yen Vi and Huynh Thi Ngoc Huyen was quite tense and exciting. The two players competed for each point until the score was 5/5, Yen Vi took advantage of the opportunity to win 2 consecutive games, thereby winning 7-5 to become the champion.

With this championship, Duong Yen Vi and Huynh Thi Ngoc Huyen received a spot to compete with male players in the main round (Round 1) of the men's 9-ball pool tournament Tour 2 HBSF 2024 which will take place from July 11-14, along with Nguyen Bich Tram who took a spot from Tour 1. The tournament has the participation of a squad of Vietnamese pool players, including Duong Quoc Hoang competing for the championship worth 50 million VND.

Today, the men's 9-ball Pool of the HBSF Billiards Tournament - Min Table Cup also ended the qualifying round and Nguyen Duc Anh was determined to win the qualifying round championship. He and the 15 players with the best results will enter the main round of the tournament starting tomorrow.
