Is there a recurrence of the "overcharging" for parking tickets at Lim festival in Bac Ninh?

On February 6, Tien Du District People's Committee held a press conference on the Lim Spring Festival 2025.

According to the People's Committee of Tien Du district, this year's Lim festival will be held in 3 communes of the former Noi Due commune, including Lim town and Noi Due and Lien Ba communes on February 9 and 10 (ie January 12 and 13).

This year’s Lim Festival consists of two parts: the ceremony and the festival. Quan Ho singing will be held on the main stage in the center of Lim Hill and about 15 Quan Ho singing huts on Lim Hill.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Tinh, Head of Tien Du District Culture Department informed at the conference.

In addition, Quan Ho singing is also held at communal houses, pagodas, and artisans' families... Folk games such as swinging, traditional wrestling, blindfolded goat catching, pot smashing... are also held to serve the people's entertainment needs.

At the conference, Mr. Ngo Xuan Tinh, Head of the Cultural Department of Tien Du district, Deputy Head of the Lim Festival Organizing Committee, said: Last year, the organization of the Lim Festival was very successful, but there was still a situation where parking lots overcharged customers.

Immediately afterwards, the festival organizing committee held a meeting to summarize, draw lessons and request that similar situations not happen again.

Learning from last year’s experience, this year the festival organizing committee has assigned the task of controlling ticket prices and parking to the Tien Du District Economic and Infrastructure Department. The police and related units will increase supervision, if the above situation is allowed to recur, the leaders of this unit will be held responsible.

Mr. Ngo Xuan Tinh also shared: The Lim Festival only takes place for two days, especially on the evening of January 12, there were more than 13,000 people attending the festival, while the festival space is still narrow, causing pressure on parking lots and traffic safety. The Organizing Committee will continue to deploy solutions to ensure traffic safety and order during the festival days.
