On the morning of September 10, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee organized a fundraiser to support people affected by storm No. 3. Comrades: Lai The Nguyen, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Trinh Tuan Sinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee attended and participated in the fundraiser.

Storm No. 3 (Storm Yagi) is considered the strongest storm in the East Sea in the past 30 years with the strongest wind near the storm center reaching level 16, gusting over level 17. When making landfall in Quang Ninh - Hai Phong, the strongest wind measured at Bai Chay (Quang Ninh) was level 14, gusting to level 17.

As soon as the storm appeared, the leaders of the Party, State, Government, Prime Minister and Party committees and authorities at all levels focused on leading and directing strongly from early on, from afar, along with the synchronous participation of the entire political system and community from the Central to local levels to focus on responding to natural disasters. However, due to its strong intensity, storm No. 3 and its circulation had a wide range of influence from the Northern region to Thanh Hoa, including 26 provinces and cities, with terrible devastation; the storm circulation caused heavy rain in the Northern region, causing huge losses in human lives and property of the State and the People.

According to information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, as of 6:00 a.m. on September 10, natural disasters caused by storm No. 3 have left 103 people dead and missing (63 dead, 40 missing); 746 people injured (of which Thanh Hoa province has 2 people); 85 boats of all kinds sank at anchorage in Quang Ninh; over 148,000 hectares of rice were flooded and damaged; over 5,300 electric poles were broken...

Heavy rains, floods on rivers and landslides continue to threaten and cause severe damage in the following provinces and cities: Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Lai Chau, Son La,... People in areas affected by natural disasters and floods are in dire need of attention and joint relief from all levels, sectors and people nationwide.
