After a few minutes of opening in green, the market quickly reversed as the aftershocks of last weekend's session still lingered. Small and medium-sized stocks became the focus, notably POW, which rose 5.7% and liquidity exploded with 26.3 million units.
The main driver in the morning session was GVR with a contribution of more than 1 point to the market, other codes also increased positively such as BVH, GAS, BCM. Meanwhile, HDB decreased by 1.9%, MWG decreased by 1.2%, negatively affecting the general index.
At the end of the morning session on May 27, VN-Index increased by 2.06 points, equivalent to 0.16% to 1,263.99 points. The entire floor had 209 stocks increasing and 181 stocks decreasing.

Entering the afternoon session, investor sentiment was more positive, helping demand increase, and the VN-Index closed at the highest level of the day.
At the end of trading on May 27, VN-Index increased by 5.75 points, equivalent to 0.46% to 1,267,683 points. The entire floor had 233 stocks increasing, 198 stocks decreasing, and 67 stocks remaining unchanged.
HNX-Index increased by 1.11 points to 242.83 points. The entire floor had 98 stocks increasing, 70 stocks decreasing and 56 stocks remaining unchanged. UPCoM-Index increased by 0.47 points to 94.87 points.
GAS led the market's increase by contributing more than 1.1 points to the general index, ending the session up 2.53% to VND81,000/share. In the same infrastructure services industry, POW maintained positive momentum since opening, even closing the session at the ceiling price and matching a record 41.2 million units. Other codes in the industry also ended the session in green such as NT2, PPC, QTP, GEG, CNG, NED.
Vietnam Airlines ’ HVN maintained positive momentum as it rose 3.93% to VND25,150 per share and contributed 0.52 points to the overall market. Rival VJC also rebounded, rising 0.93% to VND109,000 per share.
Meanwhile, the banking group witnessed an adjustment when BID, HDB, CTG, SSB were in the top 10 negatively affecting the market and took away a total of 0.9 points from the general index. Some reference codes such as MBB, VPB, STB, VIB, ABB, VCB, VAB, SGB. On the positive side, EIB, EVF, SHB , ACB, TCB, MSB, OCB ended the session in green.

The total order matching value in today's session was VND20,065-40,720 billion, down 49% compared to yesterday, of which the order matching value on the HoSE floor reached VND17,583 billion. In the VN30 group, liquidity reached VND7,561 billion.
Foreign investors continued to net sell for the second session with a value of VND 531.5 billion today, of which this group disbursed VND 1,214 billion and sold VND 1,746 billion.
