Ms. Ngoc (born in 1963, residing in Nam Hamlet, Tan Dien Commune), is currently the Head of the Savings and Loan Group of the Women's Union of Tan Dien Commune. Since its inception, Ms. Ngoc's Savings and Loan Group only had 10 members, and many households were hesitant to borrow money due to concerns about their ability to repay the debt. Realizing this, Ms. Ngoc actively mobilized and promoted to help people understand the benefits of policy credit capital.
Thanks to the coordination with the Women's Union of Tan Dien commune and the Social Policy Bank of Go Cong Dong district, Ms. Ngoc has helped many households access policy credit loans and develop the economy in accordance with each family's conditions.
With over 15 years as the Head of the Savings and Loan Group, Ms. Ngoc has always been dedicated to helping hundreds of households access preferential capital sources. She always has a firm grasp of credit policies, regularly updates documents and records to effectively manage loans.
In particular, Ms. Ngoc also pioneered the application of Policy Credit Management according to the instructions of the Bank for Social Policies, contributing to improving the effectiveness of monitoring and operating credit activities locally.
Ms. Ngoc's savings and loan group always participates in all meetings, listens to opinions from organizations and shares experiences in loan management. She constantly learns and summarizes effective ways of doing things; at the same time, participates in evaluating loans according to the correct process, ensuring transparent capital sources and reaching the right subjects.
Up to now, Ms. Ngoc's Savings and Loan Group has 51 members, with a total outstanding debt of 2,218 billion VND, including loan programs of the Social Policy Bank of Go Cong Dong district such as: Loan program for poor households, newly escaped poverty households, job creation, clean water and environmental sanitation in rural areas, students, etc.
With this preferential capital source, many households have developed their economy, increased their income, and improved their lives. Over the years, Ms. Ngoc's Savings and Loan Group has had no overdue debt, deferred debt, or outstanding interest. The savings balance reached more than 197 million VND, with 100% of the borrowing households having savings deposits.
Ms. Ngoc regularly cares, understands the thoughts, aspirations and circumstances of the group members, promptly handles difficulties, and supports the group members in using capital sources most effectively. With her exemplary and responsible work, Ms. Ngoc has built trust in the group members who borrow capital.
As a member of Ms. Ngoc’s Savings and Loan Group, Mr. Huynh Tan Loi’s household participated in the job creation loan program. Thanks to the effective use of the loan, Mr. Loi has increased his family’s herd of cows from 2 to 6; at the same time, he has invested in raising wild boars, helping the family’s economy improve.
The success of preferential loans like Mr. Loi has shown the positive signal, the profound meaning of the policy credit program and the dedication of Ms. Ngoc - Head of the Savings and Loan Group, increasingly creating trust for local people.
In addition to supporting households to borrow policy credit to develop their family economy, Ms. Ngoc also cares about supporting students with difficult circumstances from policy loans to stabilize their studies. Ms. Ngoc's savings and loan group currently manages outstanding loans of more than 334 million VND for students.
As a model, dedicated and responsible leader of the Savings and Loan Group, Ms. Ngoc is considered an “extended arm” of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies in bringing policy credit capital to poor households, near-poor households and policy beneficiaries. From there, she contributes to the local government in effectively implementing poverty reduction, job creation, social security and new rural construction.
With her efforts in effectively implementing policy credit loans, Ms. Ngoc was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies for her outstanding achievements contributing to the performance of the Bank for Social Policies in the period 2010 - 2015 and many Certificates of Merit from all levels and sectors.
