Right where bomb craters piled up, houses sprang up next to lush green trees. With the wisdom and determination of leaders and people through the ages, Quang Tri has strongly revived from the pain of war.

The resilient, brave, and indomitable people in the resistance war against America to save the country showed diligence and creativity in labor production, economic development, and building a new life.

Once a place where no tree, flower or blade of grass could grow, the people of Quang Tri have created a green city, with clean roads, green grass and trees.

Around Quang Tri Citadel, which endured 328,000 tons of bombs and bullets from the American invaders during the 81-day and night battle to protect the citadel by our army and people, many new urban areas have sprung up, combining parks, trees and commercial services.

How much blood and bones were shed to bring peace to this land, turning the "land of fire" into a green land, of trees, fragrant rice fields and of development.
