Studying in a dynamic environment like Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Hutech), Logistics students have many opportunities to experience, practice, and intern at businesses. With solid knowledge from the classroom and professional skills from practical experience, students are more confident in the job market after graduation.
Business cooperation - an important strategy in training logistics human resources
Hutech is one of the pioneers with the "university - enterprise" model, signing cooperation agreements with large enterprises to jointly train high-quality human resources.
In the field of Logistics, the school has cooperated with leading enterprises in the industry such as: AFV International Visa Co., Ltd., Metechco Asia Technical Trading and Service Co., Ltd., ECORP International Education Joint Stock Company, Shopcom Technology Co., Ltd.... to create a practical practice environment for students.
From this cooperation stepping stone, businesses accompany the school in creating a multi-experience learning environment, students can learn from CEOs, experienced managers, or intern at businesses... This will help young people have a closer look at the industry, understand more about corporate culture and have more goals for their future study and work path.
Not only that, Hutech also regularly organizes job fairs, increasing opportunities for students. Notably, the annual Job Fair for Economics students "Hutech Career Day" allows Logistics students to confidently participate in interviews and apply for thousands of attractive job positions from domestic and foreign companies and corporations. Along with job interviews, students also have the opportunity to listen to information about the labor market and receive career guidance from businesses right at school...
Hutech representative affirmed: “This is the result of a business cooperation strategy, bringing mutual benefits, helping students grasp job opportunities while contributing to solving human resource problems for businesses.”
Studying at the enterprise - an opportunity to understand the profession and be ready to work immediately
In parallel with acquiring knowledge in the classroom, right from the first year, Hutech Logistics students have been continuously busy with practical study trips to: airports, ports, wharves, warehouses, transportation companies, businesses with modern production - supply chain systems to learn about the operating process, goods supply, export and import.
The names that Hutech students “frequently visit” include: Dong A Pharmaceutical Logistics Joint Stock Company; Bonded Warehouse No. 6, 7; Long An International Port; BWID; Vinamilk Milk Factory…
During this year's practical training trip at Tan Cang Song Than ICD Joint Stock Company, Hutech students were introduced to key services related to Logistics such as: customs agency, multi-modal transport; visited the distribution center area, warehouse and grasped the operations of warehouse management, labor arrangement, methods of arranging, transporting goods and warehouse hygiene preservation... Through these "seeing, hearing, touching" learning hours, students better understood the working environment and the nature of the actual work, ready to enter the labor market immediately after graduation.
For Hutech Logistics students, seminars, talk shows, workshops with many “hot” topics about the profession are also an important part of the curriculum. This is a space for students to approach leading experts in the field, listen to sharing about the concept of import and export, business operations, documents of import and export; the concept of Logistics, documents of Logistics; specific jobs and knowledge, skills required in the field of import and export and Logistics... Thereby, students accumulate more valuable information and experience, preparing to conquer the “huge” salary of the profession.
