Sustainable Development Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang: GEFE 2024 - an opportunity towards green and sustainable development |
Within the framework of the Green Economy Forum and Exhibition (GEFE) 2024, the Embassy of Sweden and the Swedish Business Association organize the Green Sweden Exhibition. The exhibition aims to support Vietnam in achieving sustainable development goals according to Decision 450/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

The exhibition will connect Vietnamese leaders with Swedish companies in the fields of renewable energy, emission reduction, circular economy and new technologies. Swedish companies will showcase cutting-edge solutions in 5G, smart grids, energy storage and other technologies that will enhance Vietnam’s efficiency and climate resilience, helping the country strengthen its global position and attract investment.
Speaking at the exhibition, Mr. Johan Ndisi - Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam - said that Sweden aims to achieve net zero emissions by 2045. This exhibition demonstrates Sweden's commitment to working closely with Vietnam to build a greener future. He also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in addressing climate change, and affirmed that Sweden is ready to share its experiences and sustainable solutions with Vietnam.
“ We are proud to share our experience and best practices with Vietnam. Cooperation is key to tackling climate change and we aim to connect Sweden with key stakeholders in the Vietnamese sustainable development market, ” Mr. Johan Ndisi emphasized.
At the program, the Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam also launched the handbook "Sweden - Vietnam Business Imprint," emphasizing the strong cooperation between the two countries and the contributions of Swedish companies in Vietnam.
