Attracting many projects from Thailand

At the Meeting with Thai Enterprises in Binh Dinh Province, Binh Dinh Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung informed that up to now, the locality has had 10 projects of Thai investors implemented in the area with a total registered capital of over 106 million USD. The projects are mainly in the fields of industrial production, trade and services.

Outstanding projects such as the Binh Dinh Animal Feed Factory Project of CP Group, with a total investment of 36 million USD; Avani Quy Nhon Resort and Spa Project, with an investment of over 19.4 million USD, have all achieved good results, contributing positively to the development of the province.

In addition, Thailand is also a familiar commodity trading market for Binh Dinh's import and export enterprises when the import and export turnover between the province and Thailand in the first 10 months of 2024 reached over 5 million USD.

“The results achieved in the cooperation between localities and enterprises of Thailand and Binh Dinh, although only at the beginning, have created an important premise for the two sides to increasingly understand, bond and trust each other, moving towards a more sustainable and comprehensive cooperative relationship in the coming time,” said the Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee.

The Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee also believes that the combination of the province's potential and strengths and the resources and experience of Thai investors, especially the success of projects implemented by Thai enterprises in the province, will create a solid foundation for a development journey full of opportunities and success for both sides in the future.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Royal Thai Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, assessed that Binh Dinh province possesses great economic and tourism potential. Thai investors have recognized this potential and started investing in the province.

The Royal Thai Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City said that the conference is a good opportunity to enhance trade, investment and tourism cooperation, while opening up new opportunities in promoting the grassroots economy, connecting supply chains and logistics between Thailand and Binh Dinh province.

“I would like to confirm that the Royal Thai Consulate General, agencies in the Thai Team in Ho Chi Minh City and the Thai Business Association in Vietnam are ready to support and promote the relationship between businesses in Binh Dinh province and Thailand,” Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn pledged.

According to Mr. Praween Wirotpan, Chairman of the Thai Business Association in Vietnam (ThaiCharm), "Binh Dinh has a lot of potential and is ready to welcome investors in many aspects."

Accordingly, Binh Dinh not only has rich natural and geological resources, favorable geographical location for transportation, but is also one of the areas in the Mekong River economic sub-region, promoting import and export activities in the region, with a solid production foundation in agriculture, energy, manufacturing and processing industry.

ThaiCharm Chairman noted that Thai enterprises investing in Binh Dinh always receive very good support and attention from the provincial government, clearly demonstrated by the investment of CP Group, Avani Group and the presence of large Thai retail enterprises such as MM Mega Market and Central Retail.
