On the evening of August 23, the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival opened at Tran Nhan Tong walking street (in front of Thong Nhat park).

Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Trung Hieu said: Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival is an annual tourism stimulus activity, promoting the image of the Capital - a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" tourist destination, aiming to attract tourists to Hanoi on the occasion of National Day September 2. This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

With the theme "Hanoi Gifts", the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2024 attracted 100 units to participate in the festival, with 80 booths including more than 20 food booths and many check-in spaces for visitors.

Many typical culinary products of Hanoi were introduced at the festival such as: Com, Thanh Tri rice rolls, Pho bread, Huong Mai rice rolls, Duong Lam peanut candy, sweet soup, Hanoi draft beer, spring rolls, lotus jam, banh cha...

Hanoi specialties attract tourists

The festival introduces and promotes Vietnamese branded tourism gift products to domestic and international tourists, promotes the development of the gift manufacturing industry, and contributes to strengthening tourism and cultural connections.

The activity also aims to preserve, honor and promote the unique values ​​of cultural heritages and traditional crafts associated with tourism development. Thereby, enhancing the experience of tourists in Hanoi, encouraging the expansion of new consumption in the development of tourism in the capital, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the city.

In addition, during the festival, there will be art performances of Cheo Tau singing, Ca Tru singing, Trong Quan singing, and "Passionate Hanoi" music performance. In addition, there will be street performances such as festival drum and gong performances by Muong ethnic people in Thach That district, along with street circus performances, hip hop, and flashmob dancing, which will bring visitors joyful and interesting experiences.

Coming to the festival, visitors can participate in craft workshops such as making flute kites, silk reeling and silk painting performances, making bamboo dragonflies, figurines, coloring pictures, painting ceramic vases... along with culinary workshops such as coffee making instructions, bartenders and many other interesting activities.
