Hai Duong girl wins championship in singing contest 'Unification song'

At the final night of the singing contest "Unification Song" recently held in Hanoi, singer Ngoc Ha, 31 years old, from Hai Duong, chose to perform the songs "Canh chim bao tin vui" (musician Dam Thanh) and "Ken ca chon canh" (composer Tuan Cry) and won the championship.

The judges assessed Ngoc Ha as having a beautiful voice, good performance, and stable performance. She received a prize of 50 million VND and a commemorative medal from the program.

Ngoc Ha graduated from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and works at the Vietnam National Song and Dance Theater. She won first prize at the Vietnam-China Friendship Singing Contest 2019 and the gold prize at the Asia Pacific Music Festival 2017 in Hong Kong. She has also performed in many cultural exchange programs at home and abroad.

The competition was initiated by the Vietnam Musicians Association in October 2024, towards the 50th anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Through online and in-person selection rounds, the Organizing Committee selected 6 finalists. The contestants were asked to perform songs praising their homeland and country. Participants must be Vietnamese citizens, aged 18 and over.

The jury includes musicians Quang Vinh, Le Minh Son, Giang Son, Duc Tan, vocal instructor Pham Thanh Luan, and Tran Tien.
