On June 24, the restaurant representative issued an official announcement, stating that "the ignorant behavior of the above diner raised concerns about food safety and hygiene and damaged Sushiro's reputation."

The restaurant added that all branches are now required to increase cleaning and disinfecting of tableware to ensure meal safety. "We will take legal action to hold the female customer responsible for any damage she caused," the restaurant said.
