There are 5 low-altitude fireworks displays on New Year's Eve of the Year of the Dragon.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just given his opinion to allow low-altitude fireworks display at the moment of New Year's Eve of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024.

Specifically, there will be 5 firing points located in districts, towns and cities, with a duration of no more than 15 minutes. In particular, in Phan Thiet city, there will be 1 firing point with 150 rigs; La Gi town will have 1 point with 120 rigs; Tuy Phong, Bac Binh and Ham Thuan Bac districts will each have 1 firing point with 90 rigs.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to proactively select and decide on locations for organizing low-altitude fireworks displays to ensure convenience for people to watch, security, order, and suitability for the actual situation. The display time starts from 00:00 to 00:15 on February 10, 2024. The funding source for implementation is mobilized by the People's Committees of districts and towns from socialized funds to organize, not using the state budget. For the display location in Phan Thiet City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to spend from socialized funds sponsored by enterprises to organize activities of the National Tourism Year 2023 but has not been fully used.

Along with that, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will take the lead in developing a special art program to serve the people and tourists on the eve of the Lunar New Year 2024 at the Provincial Theater and Cultural and Art Exhibition (from 20:00 on February 9, 2024 to 00:00 on February 10, 2024). As well as guiding districts, towns and cities to develop and organize cultural, artistic and sports activities to celebrate the Party and celebrate Spring to serve the people and tourists during the Lunar New Year.

For relevant units and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities, it is necessary to develop plans, organize cultural, artistic, sports, entertainment activities, and ensure security and order to serve the people and tourists in their localities during the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024. In particular, each locality must organize an art program on New Year's Eve at the center of the district, town and city. Direct and assign functional forces to organize garbage collection and clean up around the area where the activities are held immediately after the program ends, ensuring a clean and beautiful landscape environment. For localities that organize low-altitude fireworks displays, proactively coordinate with the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police to ensure the necessary forces and conditions to safely and beautifully carry out low-altitude fireworks displays on New Year's Eve.
