On the afternoon of July 19, the Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education announced the minimum admission scores for regular university training programs based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores.

Master Le Phan Quoc, Deputy Head of the School's Training Department, said that based on the Ministry of Education and Training's guaranteed entrance threshold for teacher training majors and the admission situation of the majors, the school decided to increase the floor score for 10 majors by 1.5 points compared to last year. Among the majors with increased floor scores this year, there are 9 majors in the teacher training sector.

Notably, there are 3 majors that receive applications with scores of up to 24 points, including: mathematics pedagogy, English pedagogy and literature pedagogy. Compared to the common floor score of the Ministry of Education and Training, these majors of the school have a floor score 5 points higher.

This afternoon, the Ministry of Education and Training has made an official decision on the threshold to ensure input quality, also known as the floor score, for the health sector and teacher training (pedagogy).

In particular, for the teacher training group, the minimum score for university level is 19. For physical education, sports training, music pedagogy, and fine arts pedagogy, the minimum score is 18 for the combination of 3 cultural subjects, other combinations are implemented according to current enrollment regulations. The minimum score for admission to preschool education at college level is 17 for the combination of 3 cultural subjects, other combinations are implemented according to current enrollment regulations.
