Authorities are investigating a group of teenagers who set off homemade fireworks in the middle of a residential area in Da Nang, causing panic among residents.

On December 18, Residential Group 83 (Hoa Khanh Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City) said that it was coordinating with the Ward Police to extract security cameras and investigate a group of teenagers who brazenly set off homemade fireworks in the middle of a residential area, causing panic among residents.

Earlier, at around 3:54 p.m. on December 17, residents of Hoa Khanh Apartment Complex (Hoa Khanh Bac Ward) heard two loud explosions coming from the side of the apartment building. Residents of this apartment building reported the incident to the building management.

The apartment security force checked the camera and discovered that at that time, a group of 5 teenagers went to the soccer field area next to building B1 to play. At this time, one person in the group brought homemade fireworks into the house under construction next to the soccer field in the apartment building to set it off. Not stopping there, another teenager also took fireworks and set them off right in the soccer field area.

In a short time, the firecracker exploded loudly, accompanied by sparks. After causing the incident, the group left. After the explosion, the scene smelled of gunpowder.
