Nam Dinh Club wants to beat Bangkok United
Nam Dinh FC has entered the round of 16 of the AFC Champions League 2 with one match early. After a 3-0 victory over Lee Man in the previous round, coach Vu Hong Viet and his team have 11 points after 5 matches, certainly winning 1 of the 2 leading positions. Bangkok United's stumble against Tampines Rovers even helped Nam Dinh FC climb to the top of the table.
Xuan Son confided: 'To be honest, I want to say that this is Son's dream. It's also the first time he's been on the national team. I'm so touched and thank everyone so much. Son promises to try his best to serve the national team and make us proud'

If they do not lose to Bangkok United in the final round, Nam Dinh FC will successfully defend their top spot. Bangkok United is the current runner-up of the Thai League. In the first leg, this team drew 0-0 with Nam Dinh at Thien Truong Stadium.
"We played 5 matches with good spirit. The players played exactly as prepared. We have entered the next round. My players did their job very well," coach Vu Hong Viet emphasized.

Nam Dinh FC drew 2 out of 3 matches in the first leg. However, the absolute 6 points in the first 2 matches in the second leg (winning 3-2 against Tampines, winning 3-0 against Lee Man) helped coach Vu Hong Viet and his team break away in Group G. With the strongest force and good mentality, coach Vu Hong Viet wants his students to defeat Bangkok United right on the away field to affirm their strength.
"Bangkok United is a strong team. In the first leg, we could only draw with them at home. Although we have already qualified, Nam Dinh Club's goal is still to win and top the group. The whole team is ready.
Currently, we are in a good mood after 5 successful matches. Tomorrow's match will be very interesting. Nam Dinh Club will prepare the best to show its position. Our goal is to take all 3 points," Coach Vu Hong Viet shared.

'Proud to represent Vietnam'
Goalkeeper Tran Nguyen Manh commented: "Nam Dinh Club has shown good spirit in the past 5 matches. In each match, the coaching staff has learned from the players' experiences. We will defend better, improve more to focus on the next matches, aiming for the best results.
Nam Dinh Club will try harder, with the goal of achieving the best results. We are proud to represent Vietnamese football in the continental arena. The whole team has a ticket to the round of 16, but we will not stop here, but must try harder to go as deep as possible."
Nam Dinh Club will face Bangkok United at 7pm tomorrow (December 4), before entering a break waiting for the V-League to return next year.
After this match, 3 Nam Dinh players including Nguyen Van Vi, Nguyen Van Toan and Nguyen Xuan Son will join the Vietnam national team to prepare for the AFF Cup 2024.
