Hanoi Police Club was awarded 300 million VND by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after winning against Kuala Lumpur City (Malaysia) last night, January 23. Coach Alexandre Polking and his students won the right to enter the semi-finals of the 2024-2025 ASEAN Club Championship as the top team of Group B even though they have not played the final round.
At the end of the group stage, the Hanoi Police Club will receive more than 150,000 USD. This is the amount of money the organizers will divide among all teams participating in the tournament from the prize fund with a total value of 3 million USD (more than 75 billion VND). The champion team of the tournament will receive a prize of 500,000 USD.
Hanoi Police Club enters Southeast Asian tournament semi-finals
Hanoi Police Club played 4 matches in the group stage of the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Championship with a perfect record. The representative of Vietnamese football defeated Buriram United (Thailand), Lion City Sailors (Singapore), Kaia Iloilo (Philippines) and Kuala Lumpur City (Malaysia). In the final match, Hanoi Police Club met Borneo (Indonesia).
In addition to the top position in Group B, Hanoi Police Club also impressed by being the team with the most goals in the group stage up to the end of the fourth round.
