Due to not finding a common voice with coach Mano Polking, Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) switched to recruiting coach Kiatisuk from Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club (HAGL).

After the decision to fire coach Gong Oh Kyun, CAHN Club targeted former coach of Thailand Mano Polking as a replacement. Initially, the Brazilian coach and the police team's leaders were scheduled to meet on January 5 to finalize the contract.
However, the deal fell through because the two sides could not find common ground. CAHN then turned to negotiating with coach Kiatisuk and received approval from Zico Thai.
Coach Kiatisuk is currently resting with his family in Thailand. This week, the 50-year-old coach will return to Vietnam to sign a contract with CAHN. After completing his farewell to HAGL, Coach Kiatisuk will immediately start working at the police team.
Coach Kiatisuk returned to Vietnam to lead HAGL at the end of 2020. In the 2021 season, he helped HAGL top the V-League after round 12 with 29 points, 3 points more than second-placed Viettel, but the tournament was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
HAGL finished the 2022 season in 8th place and then struggled to stay in the 2023 season. This season, the mountain town team is at the bottom of the table with 5 points after 8 rounds in the V-League 2023/24.
Financial difficulties are one of the reasons for HAGL's decline in performance. After the 2022 V-League ended, Mr. Duc's team had to say goodbye to a series of key players such as Cong Phuong, Van Toan, Van Thanh, Xuan Truong, Hong Duy... Coach Kiatisuk was forced to use young players as replacements but to no avail.
At CAHN, Coach Kiatisuk's goal is to help the team maintain its position in the V-League and reach the continental level. The Thai coach will have more than a month to prepare and get acquainted with the new team because the V-League is on break so that the Vietnamese team can participate in the 2023 Asian Cup.
Coach Kiatisuk is expected to debut for CAHN in the match against Ho Chi Minh City Club in round 9 of V-League 2023/24 on December 18.
