City Tet Fest - Thu Duc 2025: new Tet destination for city residents

(Hochiminhcity.gov.vn) - On the morning of December 24, 2024, Thu Duc City People's Committee and Vietnam Brand Purpose held a press conference to inform about the New Year Festival "City Tet Fest - Thu Duc 2025", taking place from December 28, 2024 to January 1, 2025 at Saigon Riverside Park.

This is a multi-colored, multi-experience event held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City with a combination of Culture, Art, Creativity, Technology, Music and Community. City Tet Fest is designed in the same scale and form as major festivals in the world , promising to become a new Tet destination for city residents, attracting domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to building the brand of Ho Chi Minh City during the festival season.

True to the spirit of an international New Year Festival, residents of the City and visitors will be able to enjoy a Southern-style Tet holiday including Tet Eating - Tet Playing - Tet Shopping; experiencing the full range of emotions with traditional Tet culture combined with contemporary and creative features. Accordingly, a series of cultural, entertainment, art, culinary, shopping and special games activities will take place throughout 5 days, with 10 highlights including: The opening art program of the City Tet Fest Festival - Thu Duc 2025 with the theme "Loud Xao Music Night" (December 29), Countdown Grand Music Festival (December 31), Multimedia Exhibition "See Your Tet Sound", Visual Performance "Diversity in Chaos", Contemporary Folk Game "Giant Chessboard", Bolero Ao Dai Singing and Bingo Show, Continuous Hiphop Performance "Doi South", International Hiphop Tournament "Open Your Mind Vietnam", Loco Art Market Art Shopping, Foodmap - Megalive Agricultural Market with Le Duong Bao Lam, Special Sunset Bar with music and DJ promises to bring viewers many unexpected experiences in terms of content and meaning, creating good values ​​of Southern Tet culture.

The most impressive is the star-studded lineup at the two big music nights: My Tam, International DJ Plastik Funk, Dong Nhi, Binz, Karik, Andree Right Hand, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu, Truc Nhan, RHYDER, Kay Tran, Chillies, Tlinh, Mono, Phap Kieu, The Thien, DJ Louis 8ightz, MC Hype Chon & MC Hype Pump, DJ Pia & Tumie, MC Quoc Bao, MC Kim Nguyen Bao... The Vietnamese and international hiphop community "landed" at the Hip Hop Doi South playground curated by Morua and Co Dong with guest judges and artist groups from the Netherlands, Indonesia, Laos and Thailand.

In addition, one of the highlights of City Tet Fest is the multimedia exhibition “See Your Tet Sound”, which conveys the most vivid spirit of Southern Tet, bringing unique visual experiences between technology and art. Participating in the exhibition, visitors will be able to admire international art performances, combining visual mapping directed by Tung Monkey and multimedia artworks from 22 Vietnamese and foreign artists (Thailand, Australia, USA).
