Immediately after receiving the results of the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, Quynh Anh and her family, teachers, and friends at My Tho High School were overwhelmed with joy. The little girl with a pretty face, every time she mentioned her teachers, her family was filled with gratitude for everyone's teachings, guidance, and help throughout her studies. Quynh Anh confided that she had a passion and love for Literature since she was a child. During her primary school years, she was selected to compete in the clean and beautiful handwriting competition. The more she practiced handwriting, the more she loved language and literature. In middle school, with her own efforts, along with the support and encouragement of her teachers, she was selected for the Literature team. During her two years in grades 6 and 7, Quynh Anh won the Encouragement Prize, and in grade 9, she won the Third Prize for Literature at the district level. The older Quynh Anh gets, the more she shows her ability to appreciate Literature. In high school, I was the valedictorian of My Tho High School and at this school, with the encouragement, guidance, inspiration and direction of teachers, I continued to develop my strengths. My results in Literature and other subjects in all school years always achieved good or better. In the provincial excellent student competition, I consecutively won third and second prizes in grades 11 and 12.

Sharing memories of her journey to the excellent student exam, Quynh Anh said that while preparing for the provincial excellent student exam for the 2023-2024 school year, with only about a week left before the exam, she suffered from acute appendicitis and had to have surgery. At the provincial general hospital, she was taken care of by the doctors, encouraged by her family, teachers, and even by the patients in the same room. She was treated and actively reviewed. She was discharged from the hospital 2 days before the exam and still participated in the exam. “While doing the test, my back was in pain due to the effects of the injury, but I encouraged myself, stayed calm, and demonstrated all the knowledge and understanding I had. And the results I received did not disappoint the teachers' expectations,” Quynh Anh confided. At this year's high school graduation exam, Quynh Anh was honored to be one of two candidates nationwide to achieve a perfect score in Literature and was also the second student to bring a score of 10 in this subject to My Tho High School in recent years. In addition to a score of 10 in Literature, Quynh Anh achieved high scores in the following subjects: Math (7.8), History (8.5), Geography (9.25), Civic Education (9), English (8.4). My Tho High School Principal Ha Van Hai said that Quynh Anh is not only an excellent student but also an active student who regularly participates in school activities. She is the Deputy Secretary of the school's Youth Union, often the host of school programs and activities. During the year, she was also an excellent student who was recommended to attend a class to improve awareness of the Party. With your results today and throughout your learning process, you have contributed to the school's educational achievements, affirming the quality of education and the dedication of teachers and students over the past years. Not going to extra classes but spending time reading documents, paying attention to current issues, accumulating knowledge, experience and understanding to relate to the essay is the way for Quynh Anh to write good and convincing essays.
Quynh Anh believes that Literature is not a subject to memorize as some people think, but learning Literature with your own passion is not stressful, not difficult. You have to put yourself in each page to feel the author's thoughts, feelings, viewpoints and intentions, doing so will make learning Literature much easier and more convenient. According to Quynh Anh, this year's Literature exam is very good, both closely following the knowledge in the curriculum and creating conditions for candidates to fully demonstrate their ability to perceive, understand, and apply their knowledge to do the exam to get high scores. Immediately after reading and carefully analyzing the exam, I balanced my time to fully answer the content as required. After 120 minutes, I wrote 12 pages of paper and was completely satisfied with my performance. Quynh Anh really liked the social discussion section when the question asked to present thoughts on "respecting individuality" because this is an open-ended question, allowing candidates to express their personal opinions, but must analyze concisely, using specific examples to clarify the argument presented.

The literary essay section is a good excerpt from the essay "Country" by Nguyen Khoa Diem. Although it is a familiar topic, often appearing in exams in recent years, I have analyzed it to give a perspective and approach to the country that is very close and familiar, which is the history, lifestyle, culture, customs and practices of the people that we can encounter and feel every day. The country is not something far away or abstract. Therefore, showing love and responsibility for the country is to do a good job of yourself, suitable for your age and the job you are doing. Everyone can contribute to building their homeland and country. In the connection section, Quynh Anh mentioned other literary works written on the topic of homeland and country to highlight the unique color of poet Nguyen Khoa Diem... Quynh Anh emphasized that the amount of study time is not the deciding factor. Learners should not put pressure on themselves, not think about studying for others but determine to study for themselves, study to master the lesson knowledge, study to feel life, because Literature in particular, subjects in general all come from life, reflecting the phenomena, laws of nature, society and thinking.
