Binh Thuan's acceptance of interventional cardiovascular technology means that people in this province can enjoy modern services and technology, taking advantage of the "golden time" in treating cardiovascular diseases.
On October 14, a delegation from Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) attended the opening ceremony and transferred interventional cardiovascular techniques to An Phuoc General Hospital (Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province).
This is the first hospital in Binh Thuan province to receive interventional cardiology technology transfer.

Mr. Dang Thuc Anh Vu, Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Health of Binh Thuan province, said that according to statistics, from 2020 to June 2023, 63% of local patients with acute myocardial infarction had to be transferred to another hospital, 13% died; 38% of patients with acute stroke had to be transferred to another hospital, 5% died.
Therefore, the implementation of new techniques and new methods related to vascular diagnosis and intervention is extremely necessary for people in the province.
With the support of Cho Ray Hospital, An Phuoc General Hospital will deploy advanced techniques specializing in cardiovascular intervention, temporary pacemaker placement, and digital subtraction angiography.

Mr. Phan Ngoc Hung, Director of An Phuoc General Hospital, shared that the transfer of interventional cardiovascular techniques contributes to reducing the rate of patients being transferred to other hospitals, taking advantage of the "golden time" of patients and reducing the overload situation at upper-level hospitals.
At the same time, create conditions for patients, especially poor patients and policy beneficiaries with difficult circumstances, to enjoy high-tech specialized vascular intervention services right in the province.
