Ahead of the State visit of General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife to the People's Republic of China from August 18-20, speaking with a VNA reporter in Beijing, journalist Wei Wei, Head of the Vietnamese Service of China Central Radio and Television, said that General Secretary and President To Lam's choice of China as the first country to visit after taking office fully demonstrates the high regard of the Vietnamese Party and State for developing the friendly neighborly relationship and comprehensive and long-term cooperation between Vietnam and China. According to Mr. Wei Wei - who is also an expert in Vietnam, China and Vietnam are connected by mountains and rivers, and have a relationship based on the spirit of "four goods" including "good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, good partners", China always views its relationship with Vietnam from a strategic height and long-term vision. The two sides need to consult each other, develop together, and add new vitality to the cause of building socialism in each country. Currently, both China and Vietnam are boldly moving towards great goals on the new journey of reform and development of each country. China is promoting the construction of modernization in the Chinese style, Vietnam is also accelerating the process of industrialization and modernization of the country, and the opportunities for cooperation between the two sides are increasing.
