Through the topics, experts from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have equipped Ha Tinh tourism workers with knowledge to promote the role of the smart QR code system at destinations.

The Capacity Building Training Program: “Improving Tourist Experience through the Use of Smart QR Codes at Ha Tinh Tourist Destinations” funded by ADB Bank aims to raise awareness and equip tourism managers and local stakeholders with knowledge on using QR codes to enhance tourist experiences.
Ms. Le Thi Loan - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened the class.
At the training program, an international expert on smart tourism ecosystem from ADB Bank delivered 6 topics, including: The role of smart tourism ecosystem in promoting tourism recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic and developing a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient tourism industry; Overview of experiential tour programs using QR codes at tourist attractions; Tourist flow at tourist attractions; Identifying challenges; Field visit to Nguyen Du relic site and summary activities; Using STDC model to build a pilot model of smart QR codes and tourist flow.

The training program is expected to take place over 2 days (January 21 and 22, 2024) with the participation of 60 trainees who are officers and employees working at district-level cultural centers, relics, areas and tourist attractions across the province.

Supporting the digitization of image data of tourist areas and spots on the basis of virtual reality (AR) and augmented reality (VR) technology, artificial intelligence (AI-TTS), destination information programming, connecting to Google Maps... through the use of QR code systems at destinations is one of the strategic contents on smart tourism development that is considered important in Resolution No. 98/2022/NQ-HDND dated December 16, 2022 on Regulations on a number of policies for the development of culture, sports and tourism in Ha Tinh for the period 2023 - 2025. |
