Outstanding qualities

Mr. Rallis believes that most Vietnamese players have a combination of creativity and discipline in their playing style, helping them adapt to many different playing styles.

“They have a technical foundation and discipline in training, which is something that European and Australian clubs appreciate,” Mr. Rallis shared with Tri Thuc - Znews. “What they need is the opportunity to show their skills on a bigger stage.”

The Australian football expert also pointed out that Vietnam used to have academies with strong European influence, such as when HAGL cooperated with Arsenal.

“These academies focus on ball control, passing accuracy and positional awareness. These are qualities that are highly sought after in modern football. Players like Nguyen Quang Hai and Nguyen Cong Phuong have proven their ability on the international stage, showing that they can compete with the best,” commented Mr. Rallis.

Another outstanding feature of Vietnamese players is their ability to overcome difficulties in all situations. Mr. Rallis added: “Many players overcome difficult situations and develop a mindset of perseverance and tenacity. These qualities are very suitable on the pitch, where hard work and determination are the yardsticks that distinguish good players from great players. In addition to skills, strong mentality and coachability are other outstanding features of Vietnamese players."

Untapped potential

According to Mr. Rallis, while countries like Japan, South Korea and Australia have sent a large number of players abroad, Vietnam has not been properly exploited.

“Vietnam possesses a huge treasure trove of football talent. This is something that many foreign clubs have not yet fully explored. These players are eager to prove themselves. The investment for them is very low but the potential for capital recovery is very high," Mr. Rallis added.

In addition, recruiting players from Vietnam can significantly increase the number of local fans. The reputation of the team increases thanks to a strong and passionate fan base.

“Vietnam has a huge football fan base, with millions of followers supporting the national team and clubs in the V-League. By signing Vietnamese players, many foreign teams can tap into this market, helping to increase their reputation and attract fan engagement in the region ,” Mr. Rallis analyzed.

The resounding achievements of the Vietnamese teams in recent years are also a big plus. According to Mr. Rallis, the success of the team reflects the quality of the players. With guidance from the coaching staff and good grasp of opportunities, the players can easily shine in any tournament.

“Vietnamese football is on the rise and the world is starting to take notice. Clubs that are willing to invest now will reap the rewards in the years to come,” Mr. Rallis concluded.
