Talking to reporters of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, cyber security expert Ngo Minh Hieu (National Cyber Security Monitoring Center) said that on December 9, some users of the web version of Facebook were still experiencing an error displaying the time of posting, causing this information to become a long and confusing string of characters.
However, up to now, Meta's social network has not recorded any problems. On the status update page, the supplier said that all of their products are still working normally. Meta has not responded to the above incident.
To overcome this situation, Mr. Ngo Minh Hieu recommends that users can try the following measures:
Update your browser: Use the latest browser version to ensure compatibility with Facebook.
Try using a different browser: If the error persists, try accessing Facebook using a different browser to determine if the issue is related to the browser you're using.
"If after performing the above steps the error is still not fixed, the problem may come from Facebook. In this case, you should wait for a fix from them or contact Facebook support for further assistance," said Mr. Hieu.
As Dai Doan Ket Newspaper reported, on the morning of December 9, many users reported that a strange error appeared on their Facebook web version on the displayed timeline.
Accordingly, this error causes information about the article, such as the time of posting or location, to be displayed incorrectly and replaced with random, meaningless codes. However, simply moving the mouse cursor to the position of this line of characters will display the correct information about the time of the article. This problem has caused a lot of inconvenience to users.
