Strengthening infrastructure capacity
In accordance with Resolution 07 dated May 4, 2021, of the Provincial Party Committee (22nd term) on the development orientation of the Southeast region until 2025, with a vision to 2030, Thang Binh district established a working group to manage the Eastern region of the district.
Every year, the District People's Council concretizes the goals and tasks for the development of the eastern region of the district into socio -economic development resolutions for effective implementation.
According to Mr. Phan Cong Vy, Secretary of the Thang Binh District Party Committee, the transportation infrastructure in the eastern region has seen positive changes thanks to investment resources from the central government, the province, and the district.
Many key transportation projects, such as the expansion of the Vo Chi Cong coastal road, Binh Dao bridge, Binh Nam 1 bridge, Binh Nam 2 bridge, etc., have been invested in and constructed.
The locality has attracted many projects such as Bliss Hoi An Beach Resort & Wellness; the curtain fabric manufacturing plant of Hyosung Group (South Korea); industrial park infrastructure investment by Capella Quang Nam Joint Stock Company (Tam Thang Expanded Industrial Park)...
"To date, several projects have become operational, creating jobs, contributing significantly to the district's budget, and shaping the region's development," Mr. Vy shared.
During the period 2021-2023, Nui Thanh actively mobilized and leveraged central and provincial budgets, as well as funds from businesses, to invest in infrastructure development alongside the district budget.
Many key projects have been invested in, such as Tam Giang Bridge, Tam Tien Bridge and access roads, Quang Trung Road, and the DH3 and DH2 routes...
Notable projects include the Vo Chi Cong road (from Tam Ky to Chu Lai airport); the Tam Hoa main road; the Tam Hai embankment project; dredging of the Ky Ha port channel; industrial clusters, urban development, etc.
"The tasks and solutions outlined in Resolution 07 of the Provincial Party Committee have been implemented by the district in the right direction. Infrastructure capacity continues to be strengthened."
"Industrial production, construction, and service sectors are receiving increasing investment in scale and quality; creating more jobs for workers, increasing budget revenue, and making a significant contribution to promoting the economic and labor structure transformation of the district," – Nguyen Tri An, Secretary of the Nui Thanh District Party Committee, observed.
Diversify investment resources.
The Provincial Party Committee (22nd term) assessed that, after three years of implementing Resolution No. 07, it has created consensus and support from a large number of people from all walks of life and the business community, and achieved many important results.
The selection of strategic investors to implement key projects has had a strong impact, attracting more investors to research and propose investments.
The development orientation for 6 groups of projects by industry and sector, and 5 groups of key infrastructure projects, have all been implemented. Infrastructure serving tourism has been upgraded, renovated, and newly constructed.
Several major, strategically important transportation projects connecting different regions have been implemented, creating momentum to boost the socio-economic development of localities.
Residential areas, resettlement sites, and public cemeteries are being built to meet the needs of resettlement and compensation for land clearance to implement construction investment projects.
Based on an assessment of achievements, identification of limitations and shortcomings, and analysis of advantages, opportunities, and difficulties in the current context, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized 7 groups of tasks and solutions to effectively implement the development orientations of 6 key projects by sector and field; and 5 main infrastructure projects according to Resolution No. 07, linked to the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized the need for strict management of planning, current status, construction order, and land use in the Southeast region; and highlighted the responsibility of leaders in this work.
In addition, focus on researching and actively proposing to the Central Government the issuance of specific guidelines, mechanisms, and policies for the southeastern region of the province.
Diversify investment resources for infrastructure development in conjunction with restructuring the regional economy towards tourism services, industry, marine economy, and high-tech agriculture.
Take advantage of attracting resources from ODA loans and the central government budget; unlock and connect resources, and research various types of investment in the form of PPPs...
“Based on the provincial planning, we are focusing on adjusting, supplementing, and developing new plans for the development of various sectors and fields; adjusting the general planning project for the construction of the open economic zone, the general planning of Tam Ky City, the general planning of the expanded Nui Thanh town (Nui Thanh urban area), the general planning of Duy Hai - Duy Nghia urban area (Duy Xuyen), and the general planning of Binh Minh urban area (Thang Binh); and approving the zoning plans and urban landscape plans.”
"Quang Nam's overarching principle is to prioritize investment resources for the development of the Southeast region to serve as a driving force for investment and development in the West region," emphasized Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet.
