School Support Program for Students in Difficult Circumstances

BDK.VN - In order to practically celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province coordinated with the Liaison Committee of Ben Tre compatriots in Hanoi; the Organizing Committee of the 5th Women's Drivers Caravan, and the ACE Charity Club of Ho Chi Minh City to organize a program to give bicycles and gifts to disadvantaged students in the province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Thanh Lam; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Truc Son, Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Liaison Committee of Ben Tre compatriots in Ho Chi Minh City, representing leaders of provincial departments and branches attended.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 315 bicycles and 315 gifts to disadvantaged students in the province with a total cost of 630 million VND.

Speaking at the program, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Van Dam emphasized that the program of supporting students to go to school aims to create conditions for studious students with difficult circumstances to continue going to school, helping their families reduce some of the difficulties in life. Through the program, the spirit of mutual love and sharing of sponsors with disadvantaged students in Ben Tre province is promoted.

Each gift that the children receive today has a truly great meaning, because it helps them to overcome difficulties and have more motivation to continue going to school. They and their families are always cared for by society, accompanying them on the path to the future, hoping that in the future they will be successful and contribute to society.

“I request that the school and the students’ families pay more attention to their studies, activities, and feelings, creating the best environment for them to develop physically and mentally. In order for them to have good conditions to complete their studies, I respectfully request that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and the departments and organizations in the province continue to pay more attention and support them, contributing positively to the training of high-quality human resources in the province,” emphasized Nguyen Van Dam, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of merit from the People's Committee of Ben Tre province to 5 collectives and individuals; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province awarded certificates of merit to 33 collectives and individuals who actively supported material gifts for students in difficult circumstances in Ben Tre province.
