The program "As if there was never a separation" returns to VTV1

“As if there had never been a separation” was broadcast on VTV1 from December 1, 2007. For 10 years, the program has brought stories of separation filled with sympathy, searches filled with humanity and tearful moments of reunion.

By 2018, the show was broadcast on VTV9 and several other TV channels. The show’s young audience gradually followed “As if there had been no separation” on YouTube, Fanpage and Tiktok more. However, a large number of loyal viewers who were older or lived far from urban areas thought that the show was no longer active and expressed regret.

From April 5, “As if there had never been a separation” will return to VTV1 at 8:10 p.m. every Saturday. According to the production team, this is a great opportunity for the program to reach out to those who are still separated, to help them find their families; at the same time, to let the community know more about the work of those who carry out these volunteer activities, and to join hands to create miracles of reunion.

The program “As if there had never been a separation” titled “Where the land is fertile” on April 5 is a story of reunion after 50 years of war ending of a little girl who left the fertile land along the Vu Gia River (Dai Loc, Quang Nam), now a woman over 60 years old. The story is not only about a touching reunion, but also explains that: War has attacked a place with rich nature and gentle people, turning it into a bloody place and after 50 years still leaving indelible consequences.

In 2025, every month, the audience will follow emotional stories of separation and reunion. It was a beautiful love story that had to be separated because of the war; a daughter who was taken to China by her biological mother, was finally brought back to her father and siblings; a 5-year-old boy who went with his brother to the first peaceful Mid-Autumn Festival in 1975 and got lost was finally returned to his family…
