The program is organized by the Organizing Committee of Ho Chi Minh City's major holidays and performed by the City Light Music Center, taking place at the Nguyen Hue walking street stage at 7:30 p.m. on September 2.
On September 2, at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, President Ho Chi Minh, on behalf of the provisional government, solemnly read the Declaration of Independence, declaring to the people of the whole country and all people around the world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam). From here, our country entered a new era - the era of independence, freedom and socialism.
From that historic moment, solidarity created a combined strength, steering the Vietnamese revolutionary boat to overcome countless difficulties.
Today, the country has achieved many important achievements with economic growth always maintained at a fairly high level, people's lives increasingly improved; political and social stability maintained; national defense and security ensured; legal institutions increasingly improved; foreign relations expanded, international integration proactively and actively and responsibly contributed to peace and cooperation in the region and globally.
Ho Chi Minh City - The city named after Uncle Ho is always worthy of its tradition of resilience in the fight against foreign invaders and heroic in building and defending the Fatherland. The Party Committee, Government and People of the City always strongly promote the noble qualities of the city's human traditions, take the lead in overcoming difficulties and challenges, becoming a strongly developed urban area of the country and the Southeast Asian region in many aspects. At the same time, always remember the Independence Day, an important historical milestone to have the country today.
