Industrial Promotion Program: Promoting Industrial Development in Rural Areas

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the total budget for implementing the contents of the industrial promotion program in Binh Thuan in the period of 2021 - 2025 is 19,805 million VND. Including: Industrial promotion budget of 10,331 million VND (of which national industrial promotion supports 5,800 million VND, local industrial promotion supports 4,531 million VND), the rest is the counterpart fund of rural industrial establishments with 9,474 million VND. Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade is the unit assigned to preside over and coordinate with related departments and branches to advise on the development and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for promulgation of regulations on development, organization of implementation and management of industrial promotion programs, plans and projects.

From this funding source, the functional unit has supported rural industrial establishments in the province to implement many projects and models that bring practical efficiency in production and business. Specifically, during this period, the national and local industrial promotion programs supported more than 10 projects to apply advanced machinery and equipment, scientific and technological advances in industrial and handicraft production. Mainly focusing on a number of local advantageous manufacturing and processing industries such as: Production of unburnt bricks, processing of fish sauce, food, seafood, bird's nest, tomato sauce, chili sauce, etc. Thereby creating conditions for establishments to gradually produce semi-automatically and switch to industrial production, contributing to increasing productivity and quality, ensuring food hygiene and safety, reducing product costs, and increasing profits.

In Binh Thuan, industrial promotion activities also aim to support the development of rural industrial products through the program of voting for typical rural industrial products at the provincial and regional levels.
