Concert and performance program "Unforgettable song"

(Hochiminhcity.gov.vn) – On the evening of December 22, the concert and art performance “Unforgettable Song” took place at the center of Nguyen Hue - Le Loi intersection (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).

Attending the program were leaders of the Party, State, Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense: Mr. Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army...

On the Ho Chi Minh City side, there were leaders: Mr. Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Phan Van Mai, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City;...

Before starting the program, leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense offered incense and flowers at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh on Nguyen Hue walking street.

With the theme “Forgetting oneself for the people”, the program is not only a special art festival, but also vividly recreates the heroic historical significance of the Vietnamese people as well as the Vietnam People's Army in the 80-year historical journey of building, fighting and growing.

The program is structured into three chapters: “The Fatherland in the Heart”, “Unforgettable Songs” and “Forgetting Yourself for the People”. Each chapter is formed from immortal songs of Vietnamese music through the historical periods of the nation.

The program includes 17 elaborately staged art performances performed by talented artists, fully depicting the historical and revolutionary spirit of the Vietnamese people. It is also a tribute to the heroic martyrs, the soldiers who devoted their blood and sacrificed their youth for the independence and peace of the nation.

The event gathered more than 1,000 artists, professional actors, soldiers, youth union members, students... attracting a large number of people to watch live through LED screen systems arranged throughout the central streets of Nguyen Hue and Le Loi; and was broadcast live on VTV and many other platforms.
