On the afternoon of April 16, in Ho Chi Minh City, the organizing committee of the chamber symphony art program Song of Unity held a meeting to introduce this special program.
More than 100 musicians and artists participate in the Unification Song
Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac - Vice Principal of the Military University of Culture and Arts - said that this art program was assigned by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army to the Military University of Culture and Arts to carry out, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
The art program Song of Unification was carried out with the aim of propagating the significance and historical value of the great victory of Spring 1975, at the same time raising the responsibility of the young generation in preserving and promoting the heroic tradition of the nation, turning pride into motivation, joining hands to build and protect the Fatherland in the era of national development.
Answering a question from Tuoi Tre Online , artist Nguyen Xuan Bac said: "This is the largest chamber symphony art program ever organized by the school. The number of songs performed in the program is the largest, the number of performing artists is the largest.
It is expected that 60 musicians, 20 choir singers and more than 20 famous singers inside and outside the army will participate in the performance.
The program will feature a performance by up to 100 musicians, artists, and singers. The organizers said the program will not sell tickets, only invitations will be issued.

Renew songs that go with the years
The chamber symphony program Song of Unification includes 18 immortal songs. These songs are associated with each historical period, praising the feats of our army and people in the resistance war for independence.
Artists participating in the performance include: artists Duong Minh Duc, Vu Thang Loi, Pham Khanh Ngoc, Pham Thu Ha, Van Mai, Dinh Hoai Xuan, Do To Hoa, Luong Nguyet Anh, Le Xuan Hao, Dang Minh Hai...;
Army Symphony Orchestra, artists from the Military University of Culture and Arts, Choir of Ho Chi Minh City Opera and Ballet Theater.

Musician Do Bao - the program's music director - shared with Tuoi Tre Online that the songs included in the program are majestic, solemn, and calling.
"Rearranging songs that have been around for a long time is a challenge for us. The program has 6 musicians arranging and remixing, each musician remixing 3 songs. We maximize the contemporary elements in the arrangement" - Do Bao added.
In addition to the song Unification Song, the program also has a number of other songs performed without lyrics but combined with traditional musical instruments to attract the audience.
The chamber symphony program Song of Unification will take place on the evening of April 21 at the Southern Military Theater (Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City).
According to the organizers, the Unified Song program includes three chapters:
Chapter 1 - The South goes first and comes last includes songs expressing patriotism, fighting spirit and indomitable spirit of the nation; praising Uncle Ho and revolutionary soldiers: Returning to the motherland, Grateful to sister Vo Thi Sau, Battalion 307, Songs on the banks of Hien Luong...
