The Vietnam - Cambodia Business Dialogue 2025 was successfully held in Cambodia.

Cambodia and Vietnam reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their economic partnership in many key areas, aiming to reach the target of US$20 billion in bilateral trade. This commitment was once again emphasized at the Vietnam - Cambodia Business Dialogue 2025, which aims to create a foundation for the Vietnamese business community to develop strategic investment plans in Cambodia.

The Vietnam - Cambodia Business Dialogue 2025 was held in early April 2025 with the participation of senior Cambodian officials, including Mr. Suon Sophal - Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodia Investment Board under the Council for the Development of Cambodia and Mr. Ho Sivyong - Member of the Government Delegation in charge of the General Department of Trade Support Services at the Ministry of Commerce.

In addition, the event was also attended by the Vietnam Business Association - VCBA, along with about 150 delegates representing Vietnamese enterprises and Vietnamese-origin enterprises operating in Cambodia.

The 2025 Business Dialogue Program also had the participation in organizing and speaking of representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the Association of Overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs (BAOOV), the Business Club of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the Association of Construction and Building Materials of Ho Chi Minh City, the Association of Enterprises of An Giang province...

At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that the Vietnam - Cambodia Business Dialogue 2025 takes place in the context of the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries being increasingly consolidated. This is a priority that the senior leaders of the two countries always pay attention to.

Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu believes that this favorable environment creates opportunities for businesses and investors from both sides to strengthen economic cooperation, aiming to bring bilateral trade turnover to 20 billion USD in the coming time.

Attending and speaking at the Vietnam - Cambodia Business Dialogue 2025, Ms. Le Thi Mai Anh - Department of Foreign Market Development - Head of the working delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade called on businesses to take advantage of investment and business opportunities in the area, increase surveys and analysis to clearly see potential opportunities, and at the same time identify difficulties to develop appropriate market access strategies.

The Vietnam-Cambodia Business Dialogue 2025 aims to gather and communicate business recommendations to relevant agencies in both countries. This effort is aimed at addressing challenges and creating a more favorable investment and business environment for Vietnamese and Vietnamese-origin businesses in Cambodia.

VCBA President Oknha Leng Rithy also hopes that the dialogue will provide attendees with insights into market opportunities, policy understanding and potential partnerships, promote business connectivity and facilitate investment in key sectors.

Ho Sivyong, Director General of Trade Support Services under the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, also expressed optimism that the event would strengthen bilateral business ties and help identify potential areas of cooperation. He called on businessmen and investors from both countries to take advantage of this opportunity to expand their business projects with government support.

During the workshop discussions, delegates shared success stories, challenges and solutions related to business operations in Cambodia.

Delegates emphasized the importance of building a strong network between Vietnamese businesses and investors in Cambodia to enhance cooperation, ensure timely access to market information and effectively resolve difficulties and problems arising in the investment and business process.

Within the framework of this event, delegates also had the opportunity to visit booths displaying products of Vietnamese enterprises, opening a new period to survey and approach the Cambodian market for the benefit of the business community of both sides and local consumers.
