The parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory was held on the morning of May 7, 2024 after a rally at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium, including 4 forces.

According to Decision No. 821/QD-BQP, dated March 3, 2024 of the Ministry of National Defense on approving the Project to organize a parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 / May 7, 2024), the parade will be held on the morning of May 7, 2024 after the rally at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium. Participating in the parade are 4 forces: Artillery force, Air Force flying salute, parade force, and force standing on the field with more than 12,000 people.

The highlight of the parade was the participation of the artillery force including 18 105 howitzers and 9 helicopters flying over the stands of the Air Force. The parade program began with 21 artillery rounds to the background of the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This was followed by a performance by 9 helicopters carrying the Party flag and the National flag flying over the stage. This was followed by a performance by the Parade Group (4 Honorary Units, 24 Army, Militia, and Police Units) and the Parade Group (9 Veteran Units, Youth Volunteers, Frontline Workers, Workers, Farmers, Intellectuals, Youth, Women, and the Northwest Ethnic Groups) and finally a performance by the Arts Group.
The parade is an important highlight of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 / May 7, 2024) to demonstrate force and affirm the significance, stature and great historical value of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
