Series of activities with the theme "Colors of Uncle Ho's city"

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), in a series of activities themed "Colors of Uncle Ho's City", Ho Chi Minh City has invested in staging many performances expressing the meaning and stature of the victory of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign through music, especially connecting with artists from Hue and Can Tho cities.

"Bright Vietnam"

"Rang sang son giang Viet Nam" has more than 2,000 actors, singers, extras, armed forces, and police forces participating in creating a proud picture of Ho Chi Minh City in the process of building the country to become increasingly rich and prosperous. The program took place on April 30 at the celebration stage (Pasteur - Le Duan intersection, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). The program was organized by the Organizing Committee for Celebrating Major Holidays of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with the Department of Performing Arts, the Ministry of National Defense's Ceremonial Troupe, and the Ministry of Public Security's Military Band. Script, commentary: poet Le Canh Nhac; general director: Meritorious Artist - musician Dinh Trung Can; harmony, arrangement: Vu Duc Tan; music director: Meritorious Artist - Major General - musician Duc Trinh; staging director: Duong Thao; general choreographer: Tan Loc; orchestra conductor: conductor Le Ha My; MCs: Minh Hoang - Phuong Thao.

The program is an indomitable heroic epic told through music with songs that live forever over time, honoring the value of the liberation army soldiers, the value of sacrifice for independence, peace, and prosperity of the whole people. It is that glory that has created a heroic spirit for the army and people of Ho Chi Minh City to always create breakthroughs in labor, production, and study in the process of building the country.

The program included a drum performance "Liberating the South - Joyful Country" performed by the armed forces of the Ministry of Public Security. This performance expressed the spirit of April 30, 1975 - the door to peace and national reunification opened. The country sang the triumphant song of a heroic and righteous nation. The song "Spring in Ho Chi Minh City" was newly arranged, expressing the spirit that after 50 years of liberating the South and reunifying the country, Ho Chi Minh City has undergone many changes, developed strongly, and become a dynamic, creative, and modern city.

The program also includes the songs: "Continue writing the story of peace"; the medley "The country is full of joy - Joining hands together"... with the participation of artists: People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Teacher Manh Dung, Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc, Meritorious Artist Phi Dieu, Le Thien, Thuy Lien, Thanh Dau, Cong Ninh, Hanh Thuy, Lam Tuyen, Tuyet Thu, Quynh Huong and singers Vo Ha Tram, Dong Hung, Phuong My Chi, rapper Double2T, Thuy Trinh, Thanh Nguyen, Cao Cong Nghia, Truc Lai, Thanh Tam, Minh Sang, Dang Quan, Leo Minh Tuan...

Performing arts exchange

At Ngo Duc Ke - Nguyen Hue stage, on the evening of April 27 and 28 at 7:30 pm, there will be an exchange program with the film crew: "Tunnel: Sun in the Dark" by director Bui Thac Chuyen. Participating actors: Thai Hoa, Cao Minh, Khanh Ly, Ho Thu Anh, Diem Hang, Lamoon, Quang Tuan... This is an opportunity for the actors to tell behind-the-scenes stories about participating in the film that is making an impression on audiences who love Vietnamese films.

Ngo Duc Ke - Nguyen Hue Stage on the evening of April 30 has an art performance exchange program of Tay Do Theater (7:30 p.m.) with the performances: "Palace and Commerce Harmony", "April's Heroism", "Southern Fragrance", "Can Tho Fragrance", "Very Beautiful Cam Thi Giang" with the singing of artists: Hong Thuy, Le Duy, Phuong Anh, Hong Giang, Linh Sang, Ngan Huyen, Kim Ngan, Hai Linh...

At Nguyen Hue Contemporary Art Stage (Nguyen Hue Walking Street) on the evening of April 30, there will be an exchange performance program by Hue Opera and Drama Theater (7:30 p.m.) with special performances: "Non bai tho - Ao dai of Hue", "Ve Hue with you", "Than kinh non nuoc huu tinh", "Thuong mau mat Hue", "Ly chieu chieu - Ly ngua o"...
