Nearly 83% of stocks on the HoSE increased in price, of which 19 codes hit the ceiling, VN-Index accumulated 27 points to regain the important resistance level of 1,250 points.
The HoSE representative index opened in green but the increase was not large as liquidity had not yet broken out. However, demand quickly increased after 10am, pushing the index above 1,230 points. Before the lunch break, stock accumulated about 20 points with nearly 79% of HoSE stocks increasing in price.
In the afternoon session, the cash flow was stronger. VN-Index inched up and surpassed 1,250 points at around 1:30 p.m., about 27 points higher than the reference. This is an important resistance level in investor psychology, especially when the market has been moving sideways for a long time.
The VN30-Index also gained 23 points as all stocks in the basket increased in price. GVR, VCB, BID, MWG and MBB were the stocks that contributed the most to the overall index. Similarly, the HNX and UPCoM exchanges were also covered in green.
As of 13:45, HoSE floor has 405 share increased, while only 50 codes decreased. The market recorded 19 codes reaching the ceiling price, most notably DIG, PDR, FTS, HDG, CTS, DXG with liquidity of over 100 billion VND.
Securities and real estate are two industries that lead the market in terms of cash flow and performance. The boards of these two industries are almost entirely painted green.
Before the end of the early afternoon trading session, the liquidity of the Ho Chi Minh City market reached VND15,000 billion, higher than the total trading value of the entire day in the previous 5 sessions. Investors started trading actively after a period of standing outside the market to observe. Foreign investors also agreed with the positive sentiment as they were leaning towards net buying.
