Green returns to VN-Index after a series of deep declines
At the end of the weekend session on April 12, VN-Index closed at 1,276.6 points, up 21.49 points compared to the beginning of the week. In particular, the weekend session alone, VN-Index increased by more than 18 points with the banking sector playing a role in reviving the market.
The trend is leaning towards the buying side with 317 stocks increasing, of which 6 stocks hit the ceiling, 143 stocks decreased, and 85 stocks remained unchanged.
HNX floor closed at 241.34 points, UPCoM floor reached 91.21 points.
Liquidity decreased significantly compared to previous weeks, averaging from 15,000 - 17,000 billion VND/session on HOSE.

Regarding the Van Thinh Phat case, the Trial Panel (TP) agreed to continue to seize and temporarily detain real estate, shares, land use right certificates, etc. owned by the Company under the Van Thinh Phat Group or assigned to individuals, of the defendant, related persons, etc., including real estate projects in Phuoc Kien.
Previously, at QCG's 2023 annual general meeting of shareholders (AGM), CEO Nguyen Thi Nhu Loan also reported on this issue. According to her, since May, Sunny Island has handed over compensation and site clearance documents for an area of about 65 hectares at the Phuoc Kien project to Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SCB) without the company's written consent or authorization.

The People's Court ordered Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Company (QCG, HOSE) to return the entire amount of money received from defendant Truong My Lan, which is VND 2,882 billion, to ensure execution of the defendant's judgment in the entire case.
Notably, after this information, Ms. Nhu Loan "pocketed" nearly 92 billion VND more with the ceiling price increase on April 12 at QCG stock. Ms. Loan's assets are approaching 1,500 billion VND.
Specifically, QCG reached a market price of VND 14,400/share, with more than 1.5 million shares traded, the highest in 7 months since mid-September 2023. In the past 2 months alone, the stock has increased by more than 70%.

At the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Mobile World (MWG, HOSE) announced that the business results of the first quarter of 2024 at MWG, with revenue growing by 17% over the same period last year, showed many positive signs, and will be announced specifically at the end of April.

In the first two months of this year alone, Bach Hoa Xanh achieved revenue of about VND6,100 billion, up 47% over the same period. The supermarket chain accounted for 28% of the company's revenue structure in the first two months of the year, up 6% over the same period last year.
A series of businesses have decided to pay "huge" dividends.
Binh Minh Plastics Joint Stock Company (BMP, HOSE) and the Board of Directors have proposed to use 99% of 2023 after-tax profit to pay cash dividends to shareholders. Accordingly, the company plans to pay cash dividends at a "huge" rate of up to 126%. BMP has paid the first interim dividend at a rate of 65% at the end of last year. Thus, Binh Minh Plastics will have one more dividend payment at a rate of 61%.
Traphaco Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (TRA, HOSE) announced at the 2024 General Meeting of Shareholders that the 2023 dividend payout ratio for shareholders is 40% in cash. Of which, the company has previously paid 20% and will pay the remaining 20% in this second quarter.
Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask JSC (RAL, HOSE) announced that on April 25, it will close the right to pay the second interim dividend of 2023 at a rate of 25% in cash, payment date from May 9.
Comments and recommendations
The market increased sharply last weekend, and a series of comments were made expecting the market to increase again.
Vietcap Securities forecasts that VN-Index will surpass the nearest peak at 1,305 - 1,310 points before another shake-up here. Large buying power may continue to be promoted with large and mid-cap groups after short-term signals improve. However, the company notes that VN-Index may increase and retest at the 1,290 - 1,295 point mark, where the shake-up appears.
TPS Securities , last weekend session, demand led the trend, the market officially created a short-term bottom in the 1,250 - 1,260 point range. Investors can disburse when the market returns to the resistance level of 1,270 points. However, with the current trend, investors can disburse earlier because cash flow tends to increase again in the session of April 12.
BSC Securities also expressed positive sentiment, the market could recover to the 1,280 - 1,300 point range. At the same time, BSC still recommended that although the stock cash flow has increased again, it is still uncertain, with potential risks of strong fluctuations.
