At the end of the session on April 21, the VN-Index decreased by 12 points, closing at 1,207 points.
On April 21, the Vietnamese stock market maintained a cautious stance from the beginning of the session. After an initial slight increase, selling pressure increased, causing the market to fall into the red zone.
However, cash flow still showed positive signs when flowing into some individual stocks and sectors such as public investment, plastics..., contributing to reducing negative developments in the morning session. In the afternoon session, stocks such as STB, FRT, REE increased by 3-5%, helping the market limit the decline.
However, red still dominates many industry groups. The securities group recorded many stocks falling sharply, negatively affecting the market. The steel, insurance, and retail groups were also less positive.
At the end of the session, the VN-Index decreased by 12 points, closing at 1,207 points. Liquidity decreased with 819.1 million shares matched on the HoSE floor.
According to VCBS Securities Company, VN-Index is testing the 1,220 point zone. Although selling pressure dominated the session on April 21, low liquidity showed that cash flow is still circulating. The market is expected to soon find a balance point in the short term.
VCBS forecasts that businesses will continue to announce their Q1/2025 business results, thereby cash flow will be strongly differentiated, focusing on industry groups with good prospects and results.
"Investors should take profits from stocks under selling pressure and switch to stocks with positive cash flow signals in recent sessions" - VCBS Securities Company recommends
Rong Viet Securities Company commented that although the market is supported at the 1,200 point level, the recovery effort is still weak. Investors need to closely monitor the supply and demand of stocks to assess the market situation, take advantage of the recovery to take profits or restructure the portfolio appropriately.
