Final round of the 2023 Law Propaganda Competition "Law on gender equality through the lens of youth"

In order to innovate the form of legal dissemination andeducation (LLE), improve the quality and effectiveness of legal education in schools, the Youth Union of the University of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) hosts the 2023 Law Dissemination Competition "Law on gender equality through the lens of youth". This is an event within the school year plan of the VNU Youth Union and receives support from the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the University of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. In addition, the event also receives support from the Institute for Social Development Studies (ISDS) and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.

The competition takes place from October 7 to November 16, 2023 with 3 rounds and is open to all students of training units at Hanoi National University.

According to the Organizing Committee's report, the Contest attracted nearly 8,000 contestants. Many contestants achieved a perfect score of 30/30 points. It can be seen that the Contest has had a wide influence, attracting young students and becoming a useful playground for students - the future generation of the country. Based on the results of the Preliminary Round, the Organizing Committee of the Contest verified the information of the contestants, selected and established 10 qualified teams to participate in the Final Round of the Contest which took place on November 7, 2023 at the University of Law, VNU.

At the Final Round, 10 teams presented their ideas for disseminating the law according to the topics given by the Organizing Committee: Exploring gender; Gender pressure; Youth and gender equality; Gender harassment; Family and gender stereotypes; Employment and gender inequality; Changing gender perceptions; School environment and gender; The way to school and gender; Children and gender orientation. There were 06 teams that convinced the Jury to advance to the Final Round, which were teams from the University of Education, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Law, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Vietnam-Japan University and the University of Economics .

According to the Organizing Committee, the large number of contestants shows that the Contest has attracted and appealed to young students, creating a useful and interesting "playground" to learn about the law and creating a positive social effect. The Contest has contributed to raising legal awareness among students; building and forming the habit of proactively studying and learning about the law.

Coming up, on November 16, 2023, the Final Round and Award Ceremony of the Competition will take place at Nguyen Van Dao Hall, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
