The final match between Thailand and Vietnam will be shown at a very surprising location.

Vietnam team attracts strong attention

On January 3, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province issued a document agreeing to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with Ken Group Trading and Service Joint Stock Company to organize the screening of the second leg final match of the Southeast Asian Football Championship - AFF Cup 2024 between the Vietnamese team and the Thai team taking place at 8:00 p.m. on January 5.

The area will be equipped with a 400-inch LED screen to broadcast the second leg final match between Vietnam and Thailand on the evening of January 5.

The match will be shown on a 400-inch main screen and two additional screens set up in front of the Quang Tri Province Cultural and Cinema Center in Dong Ha City; the implementation cost will be covered by Ken Group Trading and Service Joint Stock Company from socialized sources. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned to coordinate with the Department of Health , the Department of Transport and related units to organize traffic flow, ensure security, order, health, environment, etc.

Mr. Pham Hoang Phuong, Director of Ken Group Trading and Service Joint Stock Company, said that realizing the needs of the people and the large audience watching the Vietnamese men's football team, the company wanted to organize a screening of the second leg final match to serve the cheering needs.

The Vietnamese team won 2-1 in the first leg of the final on the evening of January 2.

"The program will start from 6pm to 10:30pm with an expected capacity of 10,000 - 15,000 spectators. Besides the match screening, there will also be activities such as mini games, OCOP booths, food and beverage services and performances to serve the fans," said Mr. Phuong.

After winning 2-1 in the first leg of the AFF Cup 2024 final against Thailand at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ), on January 5, the Vietnamese men's football team will have the second leg of the final at Rajamangala Stadium (Thailand).
