BTO - On the occasion of the 2023 Buddha's Birthday (Buddhist calendar 2567), on the afternoon of May 29, the working delegation of the Provincial Border Guard Command led by Colonel Dinh Van Sau, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, visited and congratulated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and monks, nuns and Buddhists of Binh Thuan province.
In a warm atmosphere, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command, Colonel Dinh Van Sau presented flowers, gifts and sent congratulations to the Provincial Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee and dignitaries, monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province to welcome the Buddha's Birthday season in solidarity, peace and happiness.
The Provincial Border Guard Political Commissar also informed the Executive Committee about the unit's outstanding results in organizing activities to care for the poor and policy families in coastal localities of the province in recent times, especially the coordination between units of the Provincial Border Guard and units of the Provincial Buddhist Sangha in organizing volunteer activities.
Information on the deployment of forces to ensure security and order in the organization of the recent 7 lotus lighting ceremony on Ca Ty river and the ceremony program and flower car parade on the streets of Phan Thiet city scheduled to take place on the 15th of April.
On behalf of the Church, Most Venerable Thich Nguyen Sac, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of the province, acknowledged and thanked the good wishes and attention of the Provincial Border Guard Command for the Church and monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the province on the occasion of the 2023 Buddha's Birthday. He hoped that in the coming time, the Border Guard would coordinate with the Church to implement more social security programs to help the poor and families in difficult circumstances in coastal localities of the province.
