Lao Cai International Tourism Fair 2025 with the theme "Lao Cai Tourism - Connecting Green Aspiration" is an activity within the framework of major events of the province, one of the specific tasks of Project No. 03-DA/TU dated February 11, 2020 of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee on "Developing Culture and Tourism of Lao Cai province in the period of 2020 - 2025" and Resolution No. 11/NQ-TU dated August 27, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on developing Lao Cai tourism to 2030, with a vision to 2050.
The fair is a place for tourism service businesses in Lao Cai province, domestic and international provinces and cities to display and introduce tourism products, services and industries such as: travel, accommodation, transportation, restaurants, tourist attractions, entertainment services, gifts, souvenirs and other services and products... to have the opportunity to exchange experiences and sign cooperation agreements, contributing to promoting activities and developing the tourism market; at the same time, it is also an opportunity to create connections between tourism promotion activities, promote, introduce tourism potential, strengths and achievements between provinces and cities in the country; introduce tourism products and services of Lao Cai province to partners.
Lao Cai International Tourism Fair 2025 will have the participation of the Department of Tourism, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and cities; Vietnam Tourism Association; Tourism Association of provinces and cities; Association of enterprises and entrepreneurs; other tourism service industry associations; provinces and cities in the country and provinces and regions that have cooperation with Lao Cai (cooperation with 5 provinces in the economic corridor, the Red River basin, the 8 Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City...); tourism promotion organizations of some key markets, provinces and cities in the country; agencies, units, tourism promotion centers nationwide...
In addition, the Fair also organizes promotion activities to invite domestic and foreign partners, organizations and enterprises; attracting the participation of tourism enterprises from Yunnan province (China), embassies of China, Korea, Thailand, Japan, India, France, Malaysia, Australia; and international regions, provinces and cities that have cooperative connections with Lao Cai; tourism exchange and promotion organizations of countries headquartered in Hanoi...
Within the framework of the Lao Cai International Tourism Fair 2025, there will be a seminar on “Connecting green tourism development” (from 8:00 to 11:30, June 6, 2025) to introduce the orientation and vision for developing Lao Cai tourism to become a place connecting the region and the world; introduce development potential and projects calling for investment. The seminar also assesses the current situation and suggests solutions to create breakthroughs in green tourism development in Lao Cai; at the same time, discuss trends and tourism market needs to promote the role of connecting the region, the region and the world of Lao Cai tourism.
The survey program for tourism businesses (Famtrip) taking place from June 4 to June 6, 2025 and the press delegation (Presstrip) taking place from June 6 to June 8, 2025 are meaningful activities taking place within the framework of the Fair to connect tourism businesses nationwide with local businesses and business units, thereby expanding partners and supporting each other in the process of exploiting tourism products. The main walkway in the event space is designed with a river flowing with thousands of flowers arranged in unique brocade patterns of Lao Cai ethnic groups, creating a highlight right when entering the fair. The stage area to serve cultural and tourism promotion activities is staged with 2 miniatures depicting majestic landscapes and mountains with the theme "Top mountains, Headwater rivers".
