Preparing for the 2025 college and university admissions season

Hong Duc University provides admission and career counseling for high school students.

Hong Duc University plans to enroll 2,690 full-time university-level students for 39 majors in 2025. The school will simultaneously use 5 admission methods, including: using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam (admission for all majors); using high school study results; direct admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) (admission for all majors); direct admission according to the regulations of Hong Duc University (admission for all majors) and using the results of the competency assessment test or thinking assessment organized by universities or colleges in 2025 (admission for all majors). The scores of the methods are converted to the same 30-point scale, and the addition of priority points is implemented according to the regulations of the MOET.

To meet social needs, based on capacity and other guaranteed conditions, Hong Duc University has autonomously opened 4 new majors including: bachelor of mathematics, literature, political science, social work. At the same time, implementing the task assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province to preside over the development of the Project on training human resources for the semiconductor industry until 2030, with a vision to 2045, the school has completed the project to open the semiconductor microchip technology major and submitted it to the Ministry of Education and Training for permission to enroll and train from 2025.

With its development strategy, the school has become an educational institution that trains high-quality multi-disciplinary and multi-field human resources, capable of adapting to changes in the labor market. Associate Professor, Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Vice President of Hong Duc University, shared: “The school has established a consulting team, each faculty has a team according to the training major/group, implementing consulting activities, and recruiting propaganda on digital platforms such as Zalo, Facebook and website... In addition, through the results, the quality of training is the best message and communication about the profession, brand and reputation of the school”.

Faced with major changes in the labor market, universities and colleges in the province are adapting and continuously adjusting their training programs to meet practical needs. In the past 2 years, Thanh Hoa Medical College has added 2 new majors at the college level: College of General Practitioner and College of Traditional Medicine. This not only helps to expand career opportunities but also affirms the position, potential and training quality of the school.

Master Le Ha Phuc, Head of the Department of Admissions and Training according to social needs, Thanh Hoa Medical College, said: Right from the beginning of the year, the school's admissions council has developed an admissions strategy, a specific plan for each admissions stage, assigned tasks to each committee to assist the admissions council as well as all staff, lecturers and employees of the school to join hands in carrying out the admissions task. Candidates can register for admission online on the school's official website, fanpage, zalo, as well as submit their application directly to the school or by post. Candidates receive the results of their application via automatic messages via gmail or social networking platforms. This helps candidates conveniently choose the appropriate form of registration and quickly know the admission results.

In preparation for the 2025 enrollment season, the school's enrollment consulting boards have also actively organized counseling sessions at high schools and vocational education and continuing education centers in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces, helping students learn in detail about the school's majors and training programs; coordinating with recruitment agencies to organize career fairs, consulting and introducing jobs to students, creating opportunities for students to connect directly with employers. In particular, the counseling sessions are also combined with meaningful training activities on sexual health and first aid organized by the school's youth union. These programs not only help students equip themselves with useful knowledge, but also demonstrate the commitment of Thanh Hoa Medical College in the mission of training generations of students who are both highly qualified and responsible to the community. Thanh Hoa currently has 2 universities, 11 colleges and 1 secondary school. In 2025, colleges will be listed on the general enrollment support system of the Ministry of Education and Training. In order for the 2025 enrollment plan of colleges to be systematic, schools hope to soon have guidelines for enrollment of vocational training institutions so that schools have a basis to build and implement an official and effective enrollment plan.
