On the morning of May 23, comrades: Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dang Thanh Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council inspected the conditions for preparing for the spring rice harvest in Dong Hung and Thai Thuy districts. This spring crop, the whole province planted 75,019 hectares of rice. Up to this point, all rice fields have grown and developed well. In particular, early spring rice in the districts of Dong Hung, Hung Ha... has begun to be harvested to create land for growing summer crops; mass spring rice is in the red-tail stage. Farmers in the whole province will harvest spring rice from June 5 to 15. The expected yield is equal to and higher than the spring crop in 2022.

Assessing rice productivity and inspecting preparations for spring rice harvest in Dong Phuong (Dong Hung) and Thuy Ninh (Thai Thuy) communes, comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the agricultural sector, especially in planning, forecasting, and directing the work of preventing and controlling pests and diseases in difficult spring crop production conditions, with complicated weather and pests and diseases.

He requested that localities and farmers take advantage of favorable weather, mobilize maximum machinery and human resources to quickly and neatly harvest ripe rice areas, especially low-lying areas frequently affected by heavy rains; prepare the land as harvest progresses; proactively deploy crop production to ensure the correct crop schedule. Localities should pay attention to directing and encouraging farmers to change their sowing methods by applying tray seedlings and transplanters; expand the area of adjacent areas and banks; plan areas for sowing the same rice variety to facilitate production, creating large-scale concentrated commodity areas.
