Prepare conditions to be ready to organize the 2024 Northern Delta International Agricultural Fair

On the afternoon of November 12, Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the 2024 International Agricultural Fair in the Northern Delta region chaired a meeting with leaders of departments, branches, and localities to listen to and give opinions on the organization of the fair and events: National Rural Youth Festival; 19th Luong Dinh Cua Award Ceremony; Awarding ceremony of the 2024 Rural Youth Startup Project Competition.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Fair Steering Committee spoke at the meeting.

The 2024 International Agricultural Fair of the Northern Delta region has a scale of nearly 300 booths, of which 32 booths will display OCOP products of districts and cities in the province, 70 booths displaying agricultural products of enterprises and cooperatives owned by young people nationwide, booths introducing products of cooperatives in the Northern Delta region, international enterprises and 12 provinces and cities in the Northern region. In addition, the fair has an exhibition area of ​​​​special ornamental works of Thai Binh. The fair takes place from November 25 to 30, 2024.

Currently, the Fair Organizing Committee is continuing to mobilize and invite more businesses to participate, complete the work of arranging the site, designing, decorating and setting up gates, booths, constructing and implementing plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation and other tasks to be ready to organize the opening ceremony of the fair on the evening of November 25.

Also during the 2024 Northern Delta International Agricultural Fair, the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with departments and branches to organize the central-level program "National Rural Youth Festival; the 19th Luong Dinh Cua Award Ceremony; and the 2024 Rural Youth Startup Project Competition". This is a program to honor and replicate advanced models, typical examples, and outstanding youth in production, business, startups, and implementation of the OCOP program... creating a forum for young people to exchange, share experiences, and connect in production and business.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and agreed on the tasks and responsibilities of each department, branch, and member unit of the Steering Committee for the 2024 International Agricultural Fair in the Northern Delta region to ensure the fair is successfully organized.

Leaders of the Provincial Center for Investment Promotion and Development Support reported on preparations for the fair.

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee, highly appreciated the participation and responsibility of the member departments and branches in preparing the conditions for organizing the fair. He emphasized that for the fair to be successful, creating opportunities for localities and enterprises to promote trade, seek opportunities and markets, introduce achievements and potentials for economic development, contributing to promoting the comprehensive and sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas, while meeting the people's needs for shopping and learning about science and technology, the preparation work is very important.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee requested: Closely following the purpose of the fair, the organizing units have a detailed plan for the contents; departments, branches, and localities proactively coordinate to create conditions for participating parties to seek opportunities for cooperation, trade, and promote investment, trade, services, and tourism development. The facilities serving the fair must be modern and aesthetic; the content and products participating in the fair must be rich and practical, closely monitored to ensure good quality, clear origin, and reasonable prices. The management and organization of science fair booths must be harmoniously operated, ensuring quality and scientific arrangement; special attention should be paid to implementing plans to maintain security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting to ensure absolute safety for delegates and people attending the fair and events. The provincial media agencies promote and advertise fairs and events to attract a large number of people and businesses to participate, spreading the good image of the province to domestic and international friends, contributing to attracting investment and promoting the development of the province's agriculture, trade and services.
