According to Ambassador Alexander Ben Zvi, all parties are currently making certain efforts, but these efforts have not yet been successful.
Regarding the possibility of resuming negotiations in Qatar before the end of 2023, the Israeli ambassador stated: “We have never set any specific date. There are no specific proposals at the moment, which means that combat operations will continue.” Mr. Ben Zvi also affirmed that the Israeli economy is ready for a prolonged war.
The Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement took effect on November 24 and has been extended several times. However, on December 1, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Hamas had violated the ceasefire agreement, forcing the IDF to resume combat operations in the Gaza Strip.
