According to regulations, family cars manufactured between 7 and 20 years ago, issued before March 22, 2023, and expiring after June 3, 2023, are eligible for automatic registration renewal. This applies to a small portion of the total number of vehicles.

Vehicles still need the certificate of validity of the inspection certificate and the inspection sticker, which are the accompanying documents of the Inspection Certificate to participate in road traffic. Therefore, even if your vehicle's registration is automatically renewed, you still need to print the certificate of automatic registration renewal to use when participating in traffic. This is to ensure that you have all the necessary documents to comply with traffic regulations and to ensure distinction between vehicles that have been automatically renewed and those that have not been automatically renewed.

Of the nearly 3 million passenger cars with up to 9 seats that are not used for commercial transport, only about 1.4 million are eligible for automatic registration renewal. This presents a great opportunity to reduce the complexity of managing and inspecting road vehicles.
