Focus on replicating sustainable poverty reduction models

The Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee suggested that Can Loc district (Ha Tinh) focus on propaganda work and replicate typical examples in sustainable hunger eradication and poverty reduction.

Continuing the working program in Ha Tinh, on the afternoon of October 23, Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee Phan Van Hung had a working session with Can Loc district on the implementation of the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind" in the period 2021 - 2025.

In recent times, the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind" in Can Loc district has been widely, synchronously and effectively deployed, contributing to promoting production development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

Policies for poor and near-poor households such as: healthcare, education, housing, preferential credit, agricultural and forestry extension, production development support, poverty reduction model building, legal aid... are implemented synchronously and regularly.

Mr. Dang Tran Phong - Chairman of Can Loc District People's Committee reported on some contents on hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the district.

The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have actively participated in propaganda, mobilization, and supervision of the implementation of programs, policies, and projects, bringing poverty reduction activities into life. Many good practices and new creative models in the emulation movement for the poor have been formed and replicated.

Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, the poverty rate in Can Loc district by the end of 2022 was 3.01%, down 0.43% compared to the end of 2020 (3.44%); the near-poor household rate by the end of 2022 was 3.4%, down 1.11% compared to the end of 2020 (4.51%).

Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Tran Nhat Tan discussed some contents on building model residential areas, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction in Can Loc in particular and Ha Tinh in general.

At the meeting, Can Loc district also recommended that the Central Emulation and Reward Committee increase training courses on emulation and reward work and introduce images, propaganda methods, good and creative practices for units to learn from; increase decentralization and delegation of authority to localities in implementing national target programs, ensuring closeness to practical situations.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee Phan Van Hung acknowledged and commended the results that Can Loc had achieved in implementing the emulation movement "For the poor - Leaving no one behind". Many good and creative models and practices in Can Loc have been replicated, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people. At the same time, the district's recommendations and proposals for emulation and reward work were accepted.

The Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee suggested that the district continue to innovate the activities of the emulation and reward council; proactively launch new emulation movements; focus on communication work on advanced models and examples of sustainable hunger eradication and poverty reduction.
